As a Full-Stack Software engineer within Capio, you will work with development efforts in all parts of the application development life cycle. From development of modern Front-end applications, backend systems, application architecture, mobile apps to working in a modern DevOps culture.

About the role

Our current developer team consists of 1 product owner, 1 UX/UI-designer, 3 full-stack developers, whereof one Tech Lead. As a core member of the team, you will have fantastic possibilities to grow and exchange knowledge with your engaged and skilled colleagues.

One of the things that sets us apart is our focus on collaboration and teamwork. While we don't have separate teams for QA or Business Analysis, we believe that every member of our team can contribute to all aspects of software development. This means that you will have the opportunity to work closely with our product owners, stakeholders, and end-users to develop software that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.

About you

To be suitable for the role we believe you are a seasoned software technologist with a demonstrable track record of producing cutting edge software. As a Full-Stack Software engineer, the ambition is to keep up with technology advancements and always strive to align Capio product development with new advancements and technologies, identifying opportunities where new technology and solutions could solve real Capio business problems.

Ideally, you will have experience working in a small, agile team and be comfortable taking ownership of your work.

Your skills:

Programming Skill Sets – You must have a strong coding background and being able to develop complex applications in multiple modern programming languages, frameworks, libraries, and tools as well as design patterns. Examples of languages, frameworks and libraries used are Dotnet Core, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React-native and NodeJS.

Processes & Methodology knowledge – You have several years of experience working with development best practices, agile methodologies, and a wide knowledge of processes such as Automated testing and Behaviour-Driven Development.

Stakeholder Management – This role will involve working with numerous stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. You will be working with everyone from other Developers to C-Level directors as well as Capio partner companies and vendors. 

DevOps - Proficient in cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS) is a wanted requirement. Being able to take responsibility in developing Continuous Integration and Continuous Development pipelines in Azure. You are comfortable working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Pipelines.

In addition to what is mentioned in the above section, the role responsibilities include:

  • Be passionate about technology, Software engineering best practice including agile, continuous delivery, DevOps, and Cloud Computing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Very strong analytical skills to be able to manage complex problems.
  • Extensive, demonstrable experience building complex customer facing digital products and internal facing systems across web and mobile applications.
  • Aligning the custom development approach with the overall Capio architecture principles and strategy.
  • Ensuring the operational support and monitoring is in place for live running of services.
  • Ability to demonstrate influencing and negotiating skills to align several potentially conflicting views with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary to achieve the objectives of Capio in general.
